The mesh also helps the hat keep its shape when wet. The chin cord can be used to keep the hat in place in windy conditions or it can easily be tucked under the hat and out of the way. The cotton headband is an inch wide and assures a comfortable, sure fit. Brass eyelets and snaps won't rust even in saltwater conditions.
